ClimateCampus 2025 – Two Days for Our Future
From July 2 to July 3, 2025, the ClimateCampus 2025 will take place, including at the Wissenswerkstadt. This is an inspiring school climate summit that invites all schools in Bielefeld to actively participate in creating a sustainable future.
The event is a cooperation between the city offices (Office of Education, Environmental Office, and Property Services), Stadtwerke Bielefeld, and the Andreas Mohn Foundation.
Topics like Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), climate protection, environmental protection, and saving resources can only succeed if they are taught widely and practiced daily. The ClimateCampus encourages schools to take action and raise awareness about climate protection both at school and at home.
Children and young people also have the chance to share their ideas and make their voices heard.
The ClimateCampus takes place at the Wissenswerkstadt. There will be eight workshops in two blocks.
Students and teachers will explore topics about climate change, environmental protection, and sustainability. They can exchange ideas, get inspiration, and contribute their own projects.
Projects from the city program “KlimaSchule” will also be presented to recognize and honor previous activities.
Additionally, three public choice awards will be given to the most innovative projects about climate and environmental protection.
Schools can participate in excursion workshops throughout Bielefeld.
There are 19 exciting workshops available, covering topics like:
Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)
Environmental protection
Climate change
Sustainability
The workshops give practical experiences and deeper insights into these topics. They also provide ideas for schools to integrate climate and sustainability education into their daily curriculum.
Topics include:
Animal welfare
Recycling
Citizen Science
Fashion upcycling
Forest ecosystems
Each activity is designed to combine interactive learning with raising awareness about sustainable ways of living.
We invite all schools in Bielefeld to take part in ClimateCampus 2025. Let’s work together for a sustainable future and inspire the next generation for climate protection!
