“2 Days for Our Future” – under this motto, the 1st ClimateCampus for schools in Bielefeld will take place this year.
The ClimateCampus is a joint project that brings together two formats: the city School Climate Summit organized by the Office of Education/School Office, the Environmental Office, and the ISB, and the civil society equivalent, JUKIBIE, organized by the Andreas Mohn Foundation. The event is supported by Stadtwerke Bielefeld.
On Day 1 (July 2, 2024), you will have the chance to go on excursions in the Bielefeld education region to experience Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), climate protection, and sustainability at out-of-school learning locations.
On Day 2 (July 3, 2024), various workshops will take place at the Town Hall. Of course, there will also be presentations of projects supported by the special funding program KlimaSchule and awards for schools participating in Energiesparen macht Schule. Thanks to the cooperation with the Andreas Mohn Foundation, all schools presenting their projects at the Town Hall on July 3 will also have the chance to win a public choice award. Schools working independently on climate protection and resource conservation are also warmly invited to present their projects on July 3 – interested schools should register by the end of May via email.
The registration process will start soon. An official invitation, the detailed program, and further registration information will follow in the coming weeks. Here are some first insights:
