AOK team run a huge success!

On Wednesday, 28 August 2024, in the evening, keen runners from the Andreas Mohn Foundation team gathered with the MS Empowerment Group ‘Schubkraft’ at the start of the AOK team run in Bielefeld.

The starting signal was given at 7 p.m. 2,100 motivated Bielefeld residents set off. Thanks to early registration for the run, we ran with small start numbers from 10 to 21.

The team defied the high temperatures with mindful walking, adapted running, fun, serenity and a sense of community on the circuit through the city. The start and finish were both in the heart of the city. The great atmosphere of the run and the many cheerful teams contributed to the good mood. We were reinforced by ‘foundation children’ and their dad, who completed our
team, which had been depleted by illness, and brought us significantly forward in the rankings. We were also supported at the start and finish by a team member from the Schubkraft Empowerment MS group.

Founder Andreas Mohn cheered us on from the sidelines. Wearing the foundation's running shirts and in good spirits, we set off on the relaxed course. Together with many fantastically dressed and cheerful teams, the runners reached the finish line mindfully and adapted to their individual needs. While enjoying cold drinks and pleasant conversation, the team was suddenly surprised by the call for the award ceremony.

The shiny trophy was celebrated in style. Honoured with medals, trophies and certificates, we celebrated this team achievement together with a meal and cool drinks.
